Recently I bought a very nice custom repainted Jane Boolittle doll from ebay. As she came nekkid, I already had a little mermaid dress with a shrug in pink waiting for her:
custom repainted Jane Boolittle
Unfortunately, I do not know who did this repaint, but it is really nice 🙂 (If you know the artist, please let me know so I can link properly).
The mermaid dress is a very easy knit. The pattern can be found for free here on ravelry. I omitted the rib pattern in the skirt, as I like a straight skirt 🙂
The little shrug is not as easy, but also a quick knit and gorgeous for all these shoulder-free dresses (free pattern).
Zirella’s head and hands were sent to a very nice customizer for a beauty session. I am really overwhelmed with the result, she turned out so absolutely lovely!
Here she is with her full makeup and one of her new sweaters 🙂 (Sweater used the basic pattern for the MH basic short-sleeved dress without the skirt part and on 2.5mm needles with corresponding yarn, here 6ply sock yarn Jawoll. For the collar, I knitted one round, purled one round, knitted another round, purled another round, then continued knitting with the raglan increase)
Some detail shots. She now also has a cute little tattoo behind her left ear and another earring high in the same ear. Did you notice the cute little nails 😉
Isn’t she a beauty 🙂
Well, originally I wanted to have another pattern ready, but as I am currently rather knitting than writing down patterns… 😉
Have a picture of another beautifully done repaint by Kakchen:
The lighting really does not do her justice, her face is stunning, with heavy eyeliner and stark green eyes. (Remind me to upload pictures of my favourites again if there is ever better lighting when I have time to take pictures 😉 )
She is wearing a dress made according to this lovely free pattern from ravelry. And of course, my beloved striped socks 😉
Recently I received the three beautifully done repaints I commissioned with Kakchen. (For the few facebook enthousiasts also here 😉 ) For such special dolls, I wanted to make special dresses. I think for the sweet Abbey, this dress fits her quite well 🙂
It sports a fixed underskirt in white and boths skirts have a picot edge. Much work, but worth it 🙂
Remember the “Freddy”-Sweaters? Well, the new owner decided to use hers on a custom Venus and what shall I say the doll is so gorgeous and I am really proud to see my work on her 🙂
